1999 Porsche 996 3.6L Sports Coupe

Sixteen years on the road and this Porsche Carrera 4S engine still ticks like clockwork. The interior is so meticulously re-trimmed and well detailed, it puts even one year old cars to shame. And the paintwork, absolutely flawless. This ultra rare ‎3.6L flat 6 water-cooled Porsche is superbly maintained by one of the industry’s best detailers and mechanics and we spare no effort to cover all angles.

2016 Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TSI R-Line

This is Europe’s 2015 ‘Car of the Year’ and the new Passat, now in it’s 8th generation over a span of 4 decades, has emerged as the winner by a clear margin. The R-Line packs more oomph to the already breathtaking proportions of the vehicle and spots a refreshingly handsome front grille, a sporty bumper, chrome side sill extensions and a pair of chrome-plated trapezoid tail pipe trims, to name a few.

Thanks to its innovative lightweight design, the new Passat is also about 85kg lighter than the previous model and the one we had on hand is powered by a ~216bhp TSI engine under its bonnet. All of the drive systems are new aboard and paddle shifters come standard. To add icing to the cake, the interior has been redesigned to something no less than avant-garde. Car nuts will be pleasantly surprised that the cockpit is very driver-oriented and ride data is also presented on a super cool active info digital display. The infotainment satisfies the geeks in us as the whole App-Connect suite is now built-in and encompasses the popular Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and also MirrorLink. 2013 Ferrari 458 Italia

The mean white machines were gathered here at the Float but the star for the morning was Novitec Rosso Ferrari 458 Italia. Posing alongside was industry veteran model Vanessa who has also posed in some of our previous shoots.

Our client this time, Ankit, has engaged us to help him create a series of shots for his personal portfolio. And with kind courtesy of Ferrari owner James who is ever so gracious to loan his ride to us, this shoot was able to be materialised.

2013 Lamborghini Aventador X Ducati Panigale 899

We picked on the chromosomes pun and named this duo “The Chrome-somes” because these two rides donning flashy anodized colours have huge racing DNAs in their lineage. To be specific, the Ducati Panigale 899 in chrome red spray versus the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 in chrome pink wrap. A superbike with incredible performance designed to dominate both track and street versus a Libertywalk + Novitec kitted supercar with a performance of epic proportions.

Some numbers to note and compare. The AWD Aventador comes with a 6.5L V12 engine and produces 700 horses at 8000 rpm and 509 pound-feet of torque at 5500 rpm, enabling it to do the century run in 2.9 seconds at an electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h. It delivers a power to weight ratio of 2.25 kg per horse as compared to the superbike’s 1.3 kg per horse, almost doubling it. The Panigale’s Superquadro two-cylinder engine on the other hand makes 148 horses at over 10,000 rpm and produces 73 pound-feet of torque. Hypothetically, the 899 will jump off the line faster than the Aventador but it will not be able to dominate for long. Someday, we might just propose this race. Someday. In the meantime, discover more on superbiker’s life at her blog vaunephan.blogspot.sg.

2010 Mercedes C180 1.8L Sedan

Anthony needed a makeover for his shiny new career portfolio to announce his arrival. The towering figure dwarfed his maroon colour Mercedes C180 but surprisingly, fits him just nice with extra headroom to boot.

In his line of trade, a power suit suits Anthony perfectly, and a natural bond is formulated just by standing right beside his machine. This C-class is built with a breath of fresh luxury to serve its primary purpose for the young executive who is going places.

2008 Lexus IS250 2.5L Sedan

This wins hands down, the most incredibly styled Lexus in Singapore. And it is done tastefully like a beautiful work of art on the move. The man behind this JDM themed ride is none other than Terry, who has a 100% track record of styling his owned vehicles including this and this.

The Lexus IS250 is his latest creation which he has wanted to bring his favourite country, Japan, as a form of livery art to the streets in Singapore and be reminded everyday driving it. It spots a “F-Sport” performance kit first unveiled at the 2007 SEMA show for the IS Sports Concept, showing a lower, more aggressive appearance, facilitated by a four-piece body kit that includes front and rear valences and side skirts. Huge deep-dish design rims and low profile tyres completed the look. Definitely a charismatic head turner we reckoned.

2008 Honda Civic Type R 2.0L Sedan

If you have to weigh between family commitment and passion for racing, this is the perfect family sports sedan to own. It seats three adults and two toddlers comfortably, and comes with a big boot to stow away the baby stroller, diaper bag and whatnots.

Probably the safest in its class, this five-seater sedan ensures that trips to the zoo, childcare drop-offs or visits to the paediatrician are well taken care off and of course, handled perfectly in the shortest time possible. And of course, there will no longer be a dull time with your kids when they are riding in your four-wheeled roller-coaster. The photos said it all.

2 X 2008 Honda Civic Type R 2.0L Sedan

“Twin devils” is the most fitting way of describing these two very powerful JDM machines. They are each owned by two good buddies in the fitness industry, and that says so much about the obsession to add muscles to the meat. Find out for yourself in the engine bay setup somewhere below. If you think the stock Civic Type R is decently fast, these two are nothing short of bizarrely quick. Avoid challenging any of them on the roads at all costs. You have been fairly warned.

2015 Subaru WRX 2.0L Sports Sedan

Because there is a sequel to everything, we continued our quest to shoot the ride of M3‘s buddy. The challenge to this is a glossy black stallion, and also a new face to the Subaru line-up. It is the 2015 2.0L WRX and we think the Japanese automaker has finally cracked the design for mass appeal. With the bowing out of Mitsubishi’s Evolution X, Subaru has came in at the right moment to fill this gap of a performance family sedan. To add icing to the cake, we have a well established modelling talent (Huirong Chua) to pose with this good-looker as well.

Volkswagen Golf Variant R-Line 1.4 TSI

The Volkswagen Golf family lineup has broadened to include the estate variant, aptly known as the Golf Variant. We got our hands on this newly introduced vehicle and immediately felt the significantly longer wheelbase as compared to the hatchback. The R-line styled version is the only one available for sale in Singapore.

The whole package comes across as sporty and premium at the same time, and our first drive didn’t feel any bit “wagonish” even when attacking corners. We can safely affirm that all the charm of the Golf has been retained, with the bonus of a larger cargo space, and the bells and whistles of cool technology like Park Assist, Park Distance Control and PreCrash features. More information is available at this link.
